In September 2016, a group of Vietnamese students, in realization of the need for a community for Vietnamese students pursuing their study at York University, have made a decision to establish VietSAY - Vietnamese Student Association at York - with the hope of promoting Viet culture in Canada and representing a small “home” for all Vietnamese students who, for the sake of their education, have to stay far away from their family.

Founded only two years ago, VietSAY have provided various activities for its club members, ranging from Meet ’n’ Greets , Lunar New Year Celebrations (in collaboration with Humber VSA) to professional workshops covering topics such as Studying skills, Immigration to Canada…

The club’s purpose for the upcoming years is to, beside building up the the image of Vietnamese, is to serve as a bridge between all domestic and international Viet students in the realm of York University. Also, the executive team aim to provide more and more opportunities for Vietnamese students in terms of professional skills, career information and help them establish a stable life after graduation.
