In the winter semester of 2013, a group of Vietnamese students, called "Humber Friends", gather together to celebrate Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Since most of them are living 13943 km far away from home, their New Year Celebration wasn't less important to their lives. Somehow, more and more people want to join us celebrating. Even though without a clue how to organize the event, it turn out one of the most remarkable of thier student life at Humber. With the support and encouragement of Humber Student Federation (HSF), Humber Vietnamese Student Association was officially established.
In the beginning, it had neither vision nor mission, but to claim the money that was spent for the event. Later on, the students have seen the meaning and benefits of the organization, and how it can help other international students. It was build & growth up very fast.
The first president, and also the founder, Vinh Q. Tran, following with Tuan Anh (VP), Vy Truong (Secretary), Loc Ngo (Treasurer).
